North Park University is evacuating two of it's undergraduate dorms that have proximities close the little Chicago river tributary we live on. I've never seen it this high. There are homeless undergrads wandering around all over outside. And it's supposed to keep raining.

We are parents in Colorado who did a google search after hearing about the evacuations from our student there at North Park. Thanks for posting the pictures! Hopefully the rains and floodwaters will subside soon!
Whoa Chris! That's crazy to see all the way up in Chicago! We are okay down here...hardly any flooding and we were just west of the eye of the hurricane! I don't get it...and hey, I read some of your blogs already!

I used to cross the river when I went to middle school at Von Steuben. We lived on Kedzie and I would walk down Argyle and then up a street past some of the residence halls to cross the river. I hope things have calmed down there.
